Scope

This part of GB/T 30789 provides a method for evaluating filamentous corrosion by measuring the length L of the longest filament caused by scratches and the length M of the most frequently occurring filament.
Appendix A of this part illustrates the different grades of the length L of the longest filament and the length M of the most frequently occurring filament in filamentous corrosion with diagrams. The comparison of the test specimens with the 12 diagrams in Appendix A cannot replace the necessary numerical evaluation (Method 1 or Method 2).
