Scope

This document specifies the general requirements for the welding of power steel structures, including materials and equipment, groove preparation and assembly, welding processes, post-welding treatment, quality inspection, quality standards, disposal of non-conforming products, and welding technical documents. This document is applicable to welding work involving welding methods such as stick electrode arc welding (SMAW), tungsten inert gas arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW and FCAW) using solid and flux-cored welding wires, and submerged arc welding (SAW), which are used in the design, fabrication, installation, modification, and maintenance of hydropower station hydraulic metal structures, thermal power station steel structures, wind power tower cylinders, photovoltaic power support frames, and steel structures for power transmission and transformation projects.
