GB/T 21711.1-2023 Electromechanical elementary relays—Part 1:General and safety requirements

Scope

This document applies to basic electromechanical relays (non-timed relays with or without timing) used in low-voltage (maximum 1,000 V AC or 1,500 V DC circuits) equipment. It specifies the basic functions and safety requirements of basic electromechanical relays used in various fields of electrical or electronic engineering, as well as their safety-related characteristics. These application fields include:

The compliance with the requirements of this document is verified through specified type tests.
If requirements beyond the scope of this document are specified due to the purpose of the relay, the relay should be evaluated in accordance with the corresponding IEC standards (such as IEC 60730-1, IEC 60335-1, IEC 60950-1) based on its intended use.
