This document describes the reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, samples, experimental procedures, data processing, precision, and records used in determining the bulk density and open porosity of uranium dioxide pellets by liquid immersion method.
This document is applicable to the determination of the bulk density and open porosity of uranium dioxide pellets. It can also be used as a reference for the determination of these properties in other nuclear fuel sintered bodies, such as UO2-PuO2 pellets and UO2-Gd2O3 pellets.
