Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements and test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and safety of ordinary diesel fuel.
This standard applies to compression-ignition engines such as tractors, internal combustion locomotives, construction machinery, ships, and generator sets, as well as ordinary diesel fuel derived from petroleum or with additives used in three-wheeled vehicles and low-speed trucks as specified in GB 19756.
Note: Other special applications beyond this can also be negotiated between the supplier and the buyer.
