Scope

This procedure is applicable to the initial verification, subsequent verification, and in-use inspection of rotational viscometers (hereinafter referred to as the instrument).
This procedure is illustrated using the NDJ series, Brookfield, LV, RV, HA, HB, KU series, as well as the FANN-35, ZNN-D6, cone/plate, and blood viscometers, and the Stommer viscometer as examples. The calibration of other rotational viscometers can be referenced to this procedure.
