This document specifies the interoperability requirements for the Physical Media Dependency (PMD) layer, the Transport Convergence (TC) layer, the Operation, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) functions, the Optical Network Terminal Management and Control Interface (OMCI) protocol, and the service-related functions of the 10 Gbit/s Symmetric Passive Optical Network (XGS-PON) system.
