Scope

This standard specifies the safety requirements for LED products used in general lighting (hereinafter referred to as LED products) in terms of optical radiation; establishes the general principles for the safety assessment of LED products and the classification of optical radiation hazards; and provides guidelines for the protective measures against optical radiation of LED products.
This standard applies to the production, testing, and use of all kinds of LED products used in general lighting, which mainly emit light in the visible wavelength range (380 nm~780 nm).
