Scope

This document specifies the design specifications and safety requirements for non-integrated personnel working platforms (PWPs) approved for use on off-road forklifts. They can be installed and fixed on the forks, fork frames, or accessory frames of off-road forklifts, and can lift users (with or without materials and tools) to their working positions without any control movement devices on the platform.
The design, safety requirements, and verification of off-road telescopic arm forklifts are already specified in ISO 10896-1.
This document does not apply to personnel working platforms installed with control devices that affect the operation of off-road forklifts.
This document does not apply to non-integrated personnel working platforms manufactured before the publication date.
