Scope

This standard specifies the dimensions, shapes, weights, and allowable deviations of weather-resistant structural steel, as well as technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This standard applies to hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel plates, steel strips, and sections used in vehicles, bridges, containers, buildings, towers, and other structures with resistance to atmospheric corrosion. Weather-resistant steel can be used to fabricate structural components with bolted connections, riveted joints, and welded joints.
