Scope

This standard specifies the test methods and performance criteria for the steering system of self-propelled rubber-tired earthmoving machinery with a travel speed greater than 20 km/h, as measured according to ISO 6014.
This standard applies to bulldozers, loaders, excavator-loaders, excavators, dump trucks, scrapers, and graders equipped with mechanical steering systems, power-assisted steering systems, or power steering systems, as defined in ISO 6165.
This standard does not apply to road rollers, compactors, or pipe-laying machines.
