Scope

This standard specifies a method for determining the hydrogen sulfide content in the liquid phase of fuel oil using a rapid liquid-phase extraction method. This standard is applicable to the determination of hydrogen sulfide in the liquid phase of fuel oil with a kinematic viscosity at 50 °C not exceeding 3,000 mm2/s, including marine residual fuel, distillate fuel, and petroleum blending component oils. This standard includes two test steps: Method A and Method B.
