Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and quality certificates, anti-rust measures, packaging, storage, and transportation requirements for cast iron exhaust manifolds of internal combustion engines (hereinafter referred to as castings).
This standard applies to castings produced by sand casting or in molds with thermal conductivity comparable to that of sand molds. For castings produced by other casting methods, it can also be used as a reference.
