Scope

Scope: The standard specifies the selection of willow varieties, site conditions, cultivation requirements, and harvesting and restoration methods. Main technical content: 5. Cultivation requirements should generally comply with the requirements of GB/T 15776. 5.1 Before planting, the willow cutting site should be plowed and exposed to the sun and frost in the autumn and winter of the previous year. Then, it should be plowed about 25 cm deep in early spring of the following year. At the same time, 15 tons of mixed organic fertilizer should be applied per hectare. After plowing, remove grass roots and level the soil. 5.2 Cuttings should be selected from one-year-old, fully budded, disease-free, and healthy branches with a diameter of about 1 cm. They should be cut into 15-20 cm segments for planting. 5.3 The best planting period for cuttings is from late December to early February. The cutting depth should be level with the ground or slightly exposed by 1-2 cm. Immediately after planting, compact the soil. 5.4 Density: Plant spacing of 6-8 cm, row spacing of 20 cm, and 60-80 cuttings per square meter. 5.5 Management: 5.5.1 Fertilization: For cuttings planted in the same year, based on sufficient base fertilization (mixed organic fertilizer) and considering the growth characteristics of willow, apply 450 kg of urea per hectare before the first growth peak in late April and 300 kg of urea per hectare before the second growth peak in mid-July. The urea used should comply with GB 2440 requirements. If the soil is deficient in phosphorus and potassium, apply appropriate phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. 5.5.2 Water management: Maintain soil moisture during the cutting period to rooting. During the growth period, pay attention to drought and flood prevention. 5.5.3 Weeding: Adhere to the principle of early weeding, small weeding, and thorough weeding.
