Scope

This document specifies the overall process and requirements for surface carbon verification, the observation and simulation of carbon storage in terrestrial ecosystems, and the observation and simulation of atmospheric XCO2 data. It also describes the corresponding verification methods. This document is applicable to conducting terrestrial plant live carbon verification and atmospheric XCO2 carbon verification using ground observation data and remote sensing image data, but it is not applicable to carbon verification in soil, oceans, and artificial ecosystems. For estimating the biomass, carbon storage, and XCO2 of terrestrial ecosystems using remote sensing methods, it can be used as a reference.
