Scope
This part of GB/T 19710 expands on existing geographic information metadata standards by defining the framework necessary for describing imagery and grid data. It provides information about the characteristics of data acquisition measurement instruments, the geometric properties of the instrument measurement process, and the production process of digitized raw data. It describes the metadata required in the process of deriving geographic information from raw data, including the characteristics of the measurement system in the production process, processing methods, and calculation processes. The international standard "Geographic Information Metadata" (ISO 19115:2003) has already specified the metadata for general coverage data.
