Scope

This document specifies the transmission structure, syntax, and encoding of messages and data formats when using high-capacity ADC media between trading partners (especially between suppliers and recipients), and when supporting carrier applications (such as bills of lading, carrier sorting, and tracking) where applicable. The data encoded according to this document includes: -- Data that can be used for loading, receiving, and counting transport units; -- Data related to unit cargo or transport packaging that can be included in supporting documents in paper or electronic form; -- Data that can be used for sorting and tracking transport units. This document provides GB/T 1988-1998 characters for automatic data collection. This document does not replace or substitute any applicable safety or other marking or labeling requirements.
