Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements, inspection items, inspection methods, and inspection rules for the inspection of lifting work platforms. This standard applies to the inspection of fixed lifting work platforms and mobile (including self-propelled) lifting work platforms. This standard does not apply to lifting work platforms in fully enclosed shafts, those used in explosion-proof areas, or those equipped with insulated components.
