Scope

This standard is applicable to thermoluminescent dosimetry (TLD) systems for measuring personal dose equivalent Hp(10) or Hp(0.07), or ambient dose equivalent H*(10) from external exposure to photon or beta radiation within a dose range of 0.01 mSv to 10 Sv. For different practical doses and radiation types, different energy ranges are specified (see the table below). All energy values in the table are the average energies of commonly used dosimetric quantities.
