Scope
This standard specifies the test conditions, comparison samples, test items and methods, as well as test reports for the comprehensive performance of automatic eddy current detection systems for steel pipes and steel rods (generally composed of eddy current detectors, detection coils, magnetic saturation devices, and mechanical transmission devices). This standard applies to the comprehensive performance testing of automatic eddy current detection systems for steel pipes and steel rods using either pass-through or rotating point probes/flat coils, as well as fixed point probes/flat coils. For steel pipes and steel rods with automatic eddy current detection systems using other forms of detection coils (such as array-type coils), the comprehensive performance testing can also be used as a reference.
