Scope
For organizations that provide supply chain security management system audits and certifications in accordance with management system norms and standards (such as ISO 28000), this standard sets out principles and requirements. The standard specifies the minimum requirements for certification bodies and their related auditors, and identifies the unique requirements for confidentiality when auditing and certifying client organizations.
The requirements for supply chain security management systems may come from multiple sources. The development of this standard aims to assist in the implementation of certifications for supply chain security management systems that comply with the requirements of ISO 28000, "Supply Chain Security Management System Norms", and other international standards for supply chain security management systems. The content of this standard can also be used to support certifications for supply chain security management systems based on other specific requirements of supply chain security management systems.
