Scope

This part of GB/T 31004 specifies a sound intensity method for measuring the sound insulation of building components and standardized sound level differences. This part can be used as an optional method for GB/T 19889.3 and GB/T 19889.10. In particular, when the lateral sound transmission is high and the method specified in GB/T 19889.3 is no longer applicable, the method specified in this part should be used.
The reproducibility of the sound intensity method in this part is equivalent to or better than that of the method specified in GB/T 19889.3.
