Scope

1.1.1 This standard applies to a) design; b) site selection; c) construction; d) operation; e) maintenance of natural gas liquefaction and liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage, gasification, transfer, loading and unloading facilities, as well as personnel training. 1.1.2 This standard applies to all LNG storage tanks, including those with vacuum insulation systems. 1.1.3 This standard does not apply to underground storage tanks in permafrost areas.
