GB/T 2546.1-2006 Plastics—Polypropylene(PP) moulding and extrusion materials—Part 1:Designation system and basis for specifications
Basic Information
Scope
1.1 This part of GB/T 2546 specifies the naming system for polypropylene (PP) thermoplastic materials. This system can be used as a basis for classification. 1.2 Different types of polypropylene thermoplastic materials are distinguished by a classification system based on the values of the specified characteristic properties, as well as the recommended applications and/or processing methods, important properties, additives, colorants, fillers, and reinforcing materials, etc.: a) Tensile elastic modulus; b) Notched impact strength of simple support beams; c) Melt flow rate (MFR). 1.3 This part applies to all propylene homopolymers and propylene copolymers with a mass fraction of other 1-olefin monomers less than 50%, as well as blends of the aforementioned polymers with a mass fraction of not less than 50%. This part applies to materials that are typically in the form of powder, granules, or crushed particles, unmodified or modified with colorants, additives, fillers, etc. This part does not apply to acrylonitrile rubber. 1.4 This part does not imply that materials with the same name must have the same performance. This part does not provide the engineering data, performance data, or processing condition data needed to describe the special applications and/or processing methods of materials. If necessary, these additional properties can be determined using the test methods specified in Part 2 of this standard. 1.5 To illustrate the special applications of a certain polypropylene material or to ensure the reproducibility of processing, additional requirements can be given in the fifth character group.
