Scope

This standard specifies the determination method of the resolution of photographic film, dry plates, and photographic paper, including black-and-white film, black-and-white photographic paper, color reversal film, color negative film, and color photographic paper. This standard does not apply to photographic materials used for X-rays and other high-energy rays, such as medical radiographic materials, whose exposure light source is a sensitizing screen in contact with the film (single-sided or double-sided emulsion). Photographic materials with photosensitive polymers, diazo salts, and other photosensitive layers are also not applicable.
