Scope

This section provides an overview of all parts of the "Graphic Symbols for Diagrams", especially it gives information on creating and using graphic symbols for diagrams to ensure consistency in their registration numbers, provides guidelines for describing and applying these symbols, and provides application examples. This section includes three indexes: the first index is a Chinese index, the second index is a registered graphic symbols index, which are limited to GB/T 20063.2 to GB/T 20063.12 in the "Graphic Symbols for Diagrams", and the third index is a cross-reference index of provisions related to other international standards. The basic rules for creating and using graphic symbols for diagrams are described in GB/T 16901.1—1997.
