GB/T 15558.3-2008 Buried polyethylene(PE)piping systems for the supply of gaseous fuels—Part 3:Valves
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB 15558 specifies the terms and definitions, materials, general requirements, geometric dimensions, mechanical properties, physical properties, test methods, inspection rules, marking, and packaging, transportation, and storage for buried polyethylene valves used for gas (hereinafter referred to as "valves") with polyethylene materials as the valve body.
This part applies to buried polyethylene valves for gas made from PE80 and PE100 compound materials.
The valves specified in this part are used with pipe materials specified in GB 15558.1—2003 and fittings specified in GB 15558.2—2005 for gas transmission.
This part applies to two-way valves with socket ends or electrofusion socket ends, where the dimensions of the socket ends and electrofusion socket ends of the valves comply with GB 15558.2—2005. The valves are used for connection with pipe materials that comply with GB 15558.1—2003 and fittings that comply with GB 15558.2—2005.
This part applies to valves with a nominal outer diameter of less than or equal to 315 mm, and an operating temperature range of -20℃ to 40℃.
When transporting artificial gas and liquefied petroleum gas, the adverse effects of other components (such as aromatic hydrocarbons, condensate, etc.) in the gas on the valve performance at certain concentrations should be taken into account.
