Scope

This standard details the requirements for laser protective screens used to enclose the working area of laser processing machines, both permanently and temporarily (e.g., during maintenance), as well as dedicated laser protective screens.
This standard applies to all components of a protective screen, including visually transparent screens and windows, flat panels, laser curtains, and walls. The requirements for optical path components, shutters, and protective covers for laser products that do not completely enclose the processing area are included in GB 7247.1.
