Scope

This standard specifies reasonable protective measures for preventing fires and explosions in refueling facilities of liquefied natural gas (LNG) vehicle fuel systems.
This standard applies to the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of various types of LNG vehicle fuel system refueling facilities with a tank volume not exceeding 265 m3, as well as LNG-CNG (compressed natural gas) conversion facilities.
This standard does not apply to facilities, equipment, and structural devices that have been built or approved for construction and installation before the effective date of this standard, unless otherwise specified.
