Scope

This standard specifies the basic principles of fluid property analysis of oil and gas reservoirs, the calibration methods of the main instruments and meters used, the inspection of oil and gas samples, the preparation, transfer, and analysis of formation fluids, as well as the calculation methods.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the fluid properties of oil and gas reservoirs. Either piston or plunger PVT instruments can be used, and other types of PVT instruments can be implemented as a reference.
