Scope

This standard specifies the structural forms, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, protection, and storage of metal diaphragm valves for industrial use.
This standard applies to: metal diaphragm valves with a nominal pressure of PN6 to PN25 (no greater than PN16 for gray cast iron), a nominal size of DN10 to DN400, and a flanged end connection; metal diaphragm valves with a nominal pressure of PN6 to PN16, a nominal size of DN8 to DN80, and a threaded end connection; and metal diaphragm valves with a nominal pressure of PN6 to PN20 and a nominal size of DN8 to DN300, with a welded end connection.
