GB/T 31274-2014 Restricted substances management systems of electrical and electronic products—Requirements

Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for the management system of restricted substances in the production of electronic and electrical products, aiming to help organizations identify the relevant processes of using restricted substances according to relevant laws and regulations or customer requirements, and establish and implement a management system for restricted substances.
When any requirements of this standard are not applicable due to the nature of the organization and its products, it may be considered to make deletions, but the deletions should be limited to the requirements of Chapter 7 of this standard and should not affect the organization's ability or responsibility to provide products that meet the applicable legal and regulatory requirements or customer requirements related to the management of restricted substances. Otherwise, it cannot claim to comply with this standard.
This standard applies to all types and sizes of organizations involved in the production of electronic and electrical products, meeting their needs to establish, implement, maintain, and improve a management system for restricted substances, in order to improve their ability to control restricted substances and thus reduce and/or eliminate the use of restricted substances.
This standard can be verified for compliance in the following ways:
a)〖WB〗 The organization conducts a self-evaluation and makes a self-declaration;
b)〖DW〗 The organization's customers evaluate and confirm its compliance;
c)〖DW〗 A third-party organization certifies the organization's management system for restricted substances;
d)〖DW〗 Other relevant parties confirm the organization's self-declaration.
