Scope

This standard specifies two methods for measuring the length and height of the pile of pile fabrics, namely the direct measurement method and the instrument method.
This standard applies to all types of pile fabrics with pile and ground fabrics (base fabrics), such as long pile fabrics, artificial fur, velvet, corduroy, satin, etc.
This standard does not apply to pile-raising fabrics such as brushed fabrics and sandblasted fabrics.
