Scope

This document describes the method for determining the solubility of asphalt materials.
This document is suitable for determining the solubility of petroleum asphalt, polymer-modified asphalt, or diluted asphalt, as well as the residues of emulsified asphalt. The determination of the solubility of other asphalts such as natural asphalt and rubber asphalt should be carried out as a reference.
Note: According to the needs of the experiment, choose either the trichloroethylene method or the n-bromopropane method. For arbitration tests, the trichloroethylene method should be used.
