Scope
This part of GB/T 18742 specifies the definition, symbols and abbreviations, materials, product classification, selection of S value for pipe series, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of polypropylene pipes with a circular cross-section made from polypropylene compound as raw material (hereinafter referred to as pipes). This part, together with GB/T 18742.1 and GB/T 18742.3, is applicable to cold and hot water piping systems in buildings, including drinking water and heating piping systems. Note: It is the responsibility of the purchaser to select this product appropriately based on their specific application needs and in accordance with relevant laws, standards, or regulatory requirements. This part is not applicable to fire extinguishing systems.
