Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, and order or contract requirements for lithium fluoride.
This standard applies to lithium fluoride produced by the reaction of hydrogen fluoride or hydrofluoric acid with lithium hydroxide or lithium carbonate, etc. Lithium fluoride is mainly used as an electrolyte component in the production of electrolytic aluminum.
