Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the phase transition temperature of nickel-titanium shape memory alloys - the bending and free recovery method.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the phase transition temperature of martensite reverse phase transition by measuring the recovery deformation amount during the thermal phase transition process. It is suitable for fully annealed or heat-treated wires, tubes, or strips with a martensite reverse phase transition end temperature Af ranging from -25 °C to 90 °C.
