Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, classification and code, order content, dimensions, shape and allowable deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates for special-shaped steel wire used in automotive accessories, internal combustion engines, and flexible shafts. This document is applicable to industries such as automobile manufacturing, where special-shaped steel wire is used in the production of automotive accessories such as window regulators, retaining rings, windshield wipers, doors, sliders, locks, and seat angle adjusters, as well as in the production of flat steel wire for internal combustion engine piston rings, clip rings, and combination oil rings, and flat steel wire for flexible shafts.
