Scope

This document specifies the principle of smoke density ratio of solid materials, the test equipment, the samples, the test procedures, the evaluation and calculation of test results, and the test report.
This document is applicable to the testing of the smoke density ratio of solid materials such as composites, rubber, foam, coatings, adhesives, thin materials, and insulated wires under the conditions of a flameless mode or a flame mode.
