Scope

This standard specifies the use of artificial dirt cloths for stain removal tests to evaluate the stain removal power of detergents, and the use of white cotton cloths to evaluate the anti-redeposition ability of detergents against stains by means of cyclic washing as a control.
This standard is applicable to laundry detergents, including powdered, liquid, and paste products, for the evaluation of their stain removal power and anti-redeposition ability against stains.
