Scope

This standard specifies the test methods and test limits for the inter-turn insulation of the armature windings of DC motors.
This standard applies to the voltage withstand test of the inter-turn insulation of the armature windings of DC motors with a rated voltage of 110 V and above. Other DC motors, unless otherwise specified, should also refer to this standard for use.
This standard does not apply to miniature motors.
