Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and grade designation methods, order content, dimensions, shapes, weights, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates for hot-stamped steel plates and steel strips used in automobiles. This standard applies to the manufacture of automotive safety structural parts, cold-rolled and hot-dip aluminum silicon steel plates and steel strips with a thickness of 0.50 mm to 3.00 mm, and hot-rolled steel plates and steel strips with a thickness of 1.20 mm to 12.0 mm (hereinafter referred to as "steel plates and steel strips").
