Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, verification methods, safety, disposal measures, and emergency rescue, storage and transportation requirements of the general technical guidelines for the use of refrigerants (hereinafter referred to as "General Guidelines").
This standard applies to units engaged in the manufacturing and system installation and maintenance of commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, as well as property management units involved in their operation in the Shanghai area.
The refrigerants covered by this standard include chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), but do not include hydrocarbons (HC), ammonia (R717), or carbon dioxide (R744).
