Scope

This standard specifies the analytical procedures, calculation methods, and quality control requirements for determining the oil content in oily wastewater discharged from the marine oil development industry using infrared spectrophotometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of oil content in oily wastewater generated by the marine oil development industry in the internal waters, territorial seas, contiguous zones, exclusive economic zones, and continental shelves of the People's Republic of China, as well as other sea areas under the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China.
