Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, and the contents of purchase orders (or contracts) for graphitized petroleum coke produced by electric graphitization furnaces.
This standard applies to graphitized petroleum coke (hereinafter referred to as graphitized coke) used as raw materials for producing graphitized cathode blocks for aluminum electrolytic cells.
