Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of composite films and bags for packaging made from different plastic materials by dry compounding and extrusion compounding processes.
This standard applies to plastic and plastic composite films and bags for food and non-food packaging.
This standard does not apply to plastic films and bags made from plastic materials combined with paper-based or aluminum foil; nor
does it apply to plastic films and bags made by wet compounding and direct co-extrusion compounding processes.
