Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and transportation of spandex filament. This standard applies to spandex filament made from polyurethane, intended for use in woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, coated yarns, wrapped yarns, and core-wrapped yarns, with a linear density range of 15 dtex to 156 dtex. Other types of spandex filament can be used as a reference for application.
