GB/T 20657-2011 Petroleum and natural gas industries—Equations and calculations for the properties of casing,tubing,drill pipe and line pipe used as casing and tubing
Basic Information
Scope
This standard provides necessary calculation formulas and templates for the performance of various pipe materials, including:
—— Pipe body performance, such as axial strength, internal pressure resistance, and external pressure crushing resistance;
—— Minimum physical indicators;
—— Top-connection torque;
—— Product test pressure;
—— Critical dimensions of products related to test and inspection standards;
—— Critical dimensions of test equipment;
—— Critical dimensions of samples.
For the calculation formulas of pipe performance, extensive background information related to their development and use is provided.
The formulas in this standard can be used for pipes produced according to ISO 11960 or API Spec 5CT, ISO 11961 or API Spec 5D, ISO 3183 or API Spec 5L. The appropriate formula should be selected based on the specific circumstances. These formulas and templates should be used with caution when applied to other pipe materials. Products subject to cold processing during manufacturing (such as cold-straightened pipes) are also included in the scope of this standard. Finished pipes that undergo cold processing, such as expansion pipes and continuous tubing, are beyond the scope of this standard.
When using the performance calculation formulas in this standard for line pipes and other pipe materials, these pipes are limited to being used as casing/tubing or in laboratories, and their heat treatment processes, straightening processes, and yield strengths must be carefully correlated with the closest casing/tubing products. The same caution should also be applied when using these formulas for calculating the performance of drill pipes.
By inputting pipe geometry, production processes, and material parameters, the formulas in this standard can calculate the expected performance of pipes according to ISO 11960 or API Spec 5CT, ISO 11961〖KG*6〗 or API Spec 5D, ISO 3183 or API Spec 5L. The calculation resu
