Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, usage conditions, testing, design and structural safety, marking, installation and operation requirements for capacitors used in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) converter switches. This standard applies to capacitor units and capacitor groups installed on the DC side of HVDC converter stations and used in auxiliary circuits parallel to breaking devices in HVDC converter switches.
