Scope
This standard specifies two optional methods for determining the moisture absorption performance of porous building materials and products. —— The dryer method, using a dryer and a weighing cup; —— The climate chamber method, using a climate chamber. The dryer method is the reference method. This standard does not specify the sampling method. The methods specified in this standard can also be used to determine the moisture content of the sample when it reaches moisture equilibrium at a specified temperature and humidity.
